Hey! Thanks for the message, it’s great to hear from you. I study (almost finished) at Eckerd College in the US & am 22. Thinking back I’d have to say my initial inspiration came from reflections in water. It’s broadened alot since then- now there’s a number of things (like other artists work & new materials) ALSO a fascination with small-scale light patterns where art mishmashes with science..I’ve definitely been inspired by this guy as well..http://www.flickr.com/photos/alanjaras/

Thanks ;p It’s this rippled plastic object from a thrift store..some sort of unnamable in the bowl/plate category. I also used a heavy contrast filter. Similar patterns happen with beveled glass too sometimes…
